Can certain foods really perk up your sex life? Much has been said about how food can give a boost to your libido, but does it really work? And would you indulge in them, given your healthy eating habits and low level of tolerance for erstwhile sex foods like whipped cream, caramels and chocolates? Something tells us you're going to like what we're about to tell you – because not only are the following foods great for your sexual appetite, but they're also healthy enough to be an integral part of your healthy diet!

Celery. No, celery doesn’t come across as a sex boosting food at first glance. Generally seen as something linked closely to diet food, celery is one of the most effective foods when it comes to sexual stimulation. It is full of an odourless hormone called androsterone which helps in, you guessed it - turning women on! Eat it raw with any of the sauces and enjoy its result all night long.

Raw Oysters. Identified as one of the top ranked aphrodisiacs, raw oysters help in setting the mood. They are known for increasing the quantity of sperm in men. They say if you incorporate raw oysters in your foreplay session, the texture and flavour of raw oysters is enough to get you in the mood.

Bananas.
Sexual pleasure and stimulus aside, here’s a thought not many have had – why not nibble on quick energy foods so that you can last longer in bed? After all, you don’t want your energy dipping just when your partner starts reciprocating. Nibble on this storehouse of B vitamins and potassium slowly and it is sure to give you that extra kick of energy. Bananas are known to contain bromelain enzyme which is known to give a boost to your libido.

Avocado. Avocados are full of good energy-rich fats, rich in folic acid which helps in metabolizing proteins in the body thus giving you more energy. They are indeed excellent for your heart health and if they are good for your heart they have to be automatically good for your sex life. Isn’t it? Natural conclusions aside, several studies over time have proved that increased overall health leads to higher sexual stimulation in men and women.
